About Me

Music is from the heart. It is passion, it is natural. Learning music is not about technique. It is about love.

Have you ever noticed how a great piece of music can turn your whole day around? You might be in the middle of a stressful situation and a song comes on the radio, making you smile, breaking the tension in your day.

Music is the language of emotions—a representation of a feeling that is instantly understood without any need for explanation.

This is how I learned music, and this is how I teach music.

But before we can experience true emotion through playing music, you must learn the fundamentals. And the best way to do this is by focusing on reading music.

After seventeen years into my piano journey, I couldn’t fluently READ a Level 1 piece. Despite taking weekly private lessons for thirteen of those years, sight-reading remained an untouchable skill.

That all changed after a single lesson with a mentor—an accomplished composer—who taught me the method that unlocked my ability to read music with fluency. Within three months, I advanced three sight-reading levels, a breakthrough that had eluded me for over a decade.

This experience ignited a passion within me to teach others the same methods. For the past 12 years, I have helped countless students learn how to sight-read and develop a deep understanding of music.

Sight-reading isn’t just a skill—it’s the foundation for learning music as a whole. My approach goes beyond teaching isolated pieces; I equip my students with the tools they need to learn, perform, and enjoy music for a lifetime.
